Every month, we'll post the poll for you to RSVP to the next dinner, and ask you to tell us what you think you might bring. All of that info will be posted on the sidebar monthly. So, as comments to this post, please let us know what you would like to bring for the upcoming dinner, and we'll get it posted....Ideally, we'll want salads, soups, desserts, side dishes, beverages, etc. Generally (although it doesn't have to be this way), the host would provide a main dish (enough for everyone), and for those of us bringing food we'd try to bring enough for everyone. But, on our budgets, that may be tight, so we can just play it by ear. There is certainly going to be enough food.

September 27: Analena's house: Moroccan
Our first theme dinner will be on the 27th at Analena and Remy's house. The theme is Moroccan! Basically, the idea of this is to "stretch yourself" as a cook (or mixologist, or dishwasher, as the case may be :) ) and come up with something fun to bring for everyone to share that fits with the theme.

I'll be bringing a Moroccan Carrot Salad!
Ok, I've been mixing thoroughly yesterday and came up with the cocktails for tonight:
Casablanca Cosmo
This Moroccan version of a Manhattan classic will convince you that the nights of Casablanca have nothing to envy to the big apple.
vodka, white cranberry juice, sweet lime juice, and a dash of Triple Seks, garnished with a chilled white grape.
Can be made sweeter by replacing lime by red grape juice.
Colonial Delight
The adventurous will dare to have a taste of Morocco's French and Spanish influence, but might not be able to go back where he came from! (i.e., very potent.)
Gin and a dash of dry vermouth in a pastis coated glass. Garnished with a star aniseed and orange zest.
